An acneint proto-fish Haikouella escapes an Anomalocaris

Haikouella (~5cm) escapes an enormous Anomalocaris (over 1m long) in an ancient Cambrian sea (circa 0.5 billion year ago).

Haikouella is one of the most primitive vertebrates in the fossil record. It had a brain and a pair of eyes. It is likely to be our very distant relative (at least our relative at the time would very likely look very similar).

Last one is the nervous system visualised.
This is a single scene, not a comp.
